About Insdr Moves

The Idea Behind Insdr Moves

Insdr Moves was built to make insider trading data easier to read, compare, and explore. SEC Form 4 filings are public, but the raw filings are difficult to browse at scale. This website organizes those filings into clear dashboards, ticker pages, and focused views like big buys, big sells, and cluster activity.

Insdr Moves is free to use. The goal is to provide transparent, accessible insider activity data for research and education.

Who Created This

Insdr Moves was created by Kostadin Ristovski.

Data Source and Processing

All data comes from publicly available SEC Form 4 filings. We ingest filings and normalize fields so transactions can be filtered consistently by ticker, insider type, timeframe, and transaction size.

The platform currently focuses on non-derivative transactions and includes only:

  • P = open market or private purchase
  • S = open market or private sale

We exclude other transaction codes (for example gifts, conversions, awards, options, and other non-P/S events) from the main net-activity views, so the displayed totals focus on direct buy/sell flow.

How Net Amounts Are Calculated

Net amount is calculated by assigning a sign to each included transaction:

  • Purchases (P) count as positive dollar value
  • Sales (S) count as negative dollar value
  • Net amount = sum of signed transaction values over the selected period

For ranking pages, we then aggregate by company or insider (depending on the page) and sort by magnitude according to each view.

What We Show

  • Homepage tables with top net buys and sells by timeframe
  • Ticker pages with transaction history, insider summary, and net-activity chart
  • Big transactions views for large individual net buys/sells
  • Cluster buys where multiple insiders are net buyers in the same company

How to Use This Information

Insider data is one input, not a complete investment thesis. Use it together with:

  • Company fundamentals and financial performance
  • Market conditions and industry trends
  • Context around executive compensation and planned sales
  • Your own risk management and diversification plan

Data Updates

The data pipeline is updated regularly, and several pages use pre-generated datasets for fast loading. Where available, affected pages display a generated timestamp so you can see data freshness at a glance.
